Full Description: The Ohio Fire Academy hosts TriMed Tactical, LLC to offer this weeklong, intense classroom and scenario-based training to prepare students to function as tactical emergency medical support providers. This class exceeds the National Tactical EMS Initiative and Council (NTIC) curriculum. Training also exceeds the requirement for TEMS providers as stated in the Ohio Revised Code 109.71(25) (E). This course is also endorsed by the Committee of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC). TriMed Tactical instructors draw on their experience in EMS, fire service, law enforcement, military, and special operations medicine. Training hours consist of 50+ hour of cognitive and psychomotor scenarios in austere environments.
This is an International Board of Specialty Certifications (IBSC)-approved course. For candidates that are looking for the 16-hour course required to renew your Tactical Paramedic - Certified (TP-C) certification this course meets those requirements.
Requirements: Must be EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, RN, NP, PA, and/or MD. Additionally, students must have an endorsement letter from a law enforcement agency.
The form must be submitted to Tri-Med Tactical.
