Weekend Intensive: Search & Rescue, Forcible Entry, and Live Fire Operations
Full Description
This immersive weekend-long training is designed to challenge, empower, and elevate firefighters seeking hands-on experience in essential fireground operations. Participants will engage in realistic Search & Rescue evolutions, master the principles and techniques of effective Forcible Entry, and operate in supervised Live Fire scenarios that reinforce confidence, decision-making, and tactical readiness.

Grounded in the mission of Female Firefighters of Ohio, this course is built to provide meaningful support, mentorship, and practical skill-building for women in the fire service while remaining open and impactful to all who attend. Our instructors foster a training environment that prioritizes safety, teamwork, and the professional growth of every firefighter. Through guided practice and scenario-based learning, students will walk away encouraged, capable, and better equipped to contribute to their departments in a positive and proficient way.

By the end of this weekend, participants will:
• Strengthen fundamental fireground skills through high-quality, hands-on instruction
• Build confidence operating in low-visibility, high-stress environments
• Learn and hone forcible entry techniques using a variety of tools and props
• Perform coordinated search operations under live-fire conditions
• Gain mentorship and support from experienced firefighters dedicated to advancing women in the fire service
