Refining Rope Rescue skills and learning advanced skills and techniques.
Full Description
Rope Rescue is an essential skill needed by any member in the emergency rescue service. This course is intended for those that have completed the basic level of Rope Rescue. This advanced course focuses on litter rigging, high-line applications and leadership on the rescue scene. Students will apply tactics to real life scenarios and will have the opportunity to practice at various sites throughout Central Ohio.

Are you a Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) student?
NFPA 1006 Chapter 4 HazMat Operations Requirement
CPR & First Aid Card or valid EMS certification
Student Waiver Form
I acknowledge and understand that all prerequisites must be satisfied at time of registration and I will not request any waivers unless previously approved in writing by the course coordinator.

Feel free to bring any Rope Rescue equipment you would like to use, but realize the instructors of the course must inspect and approve your equipment prior to using it in the class.
The required textbook for this course is;
High-Angle Rope Rescue Techniques, Level I & II, Fourth Edition, Jones & Bartlett ISBN:978-1-284-13615-9
All chapters and sections that relate to Rope Rescue Level II are required to be read prior to the start of this course.  Please be advised, average delivery time when ordered from a distributor can be up to three weeks or more.
Students will be required to successfully complete practical and written assessments as part of course completion.
An Instructor recommended Guide to have in addition to the book for this class to use for reference during the hands on portion is;
