Full Description: Evaluation testing for accelerant canine teams. Teams are tested using standards designed to determine the proficiency and reliability of the accelerant detection canine team to work together in the detection if ignitable liquids.

Canine training program
Canine Health Certificate

Resources Required: 1.The agency requesting Evaluation testing as an Accelerant Detection Canine Team shall provide the State Fire Marshal Canine Certificate Committee a completed Student Application Form.

2.A completed “Student Application Form” must be submitted at least ten (10) business days prior to the designated Evaluation date.

3.The agency requesting Evaluation must also provide the Committee documentation of the following criteria:

-Evaluation will be open to any active law enforcement or fire service personnel who is a canine handler for a recognized law enforcement or fire service agency. A letter of confirmation, signed by the agency head must accompany the “Application for Evaluation Form”.

-A canine health certificate, signed by a licensed veterinarian.

-The canine team must have successfully completed canine training program and have a certificate of completion.
