Full Description
The Fire and Emergency Services Instructor Training Program is composed of education standards approved by the State Board of Emergency Medical, Fire, and Transportation Services (EMFTS) and the Executive Director of the Division of EMS, with the advice and counsel of the Firefighter and Fire Safety Inspector Training Committee of the EMFTS Board

The instructor training program for EMS or fire certificates to teach shall only be offered by and Ohio accredited EMS or a chartered fire training program authorized be the EMFTS Board and the Executive Director to teach instructor training courses. The instructor training programs for EMS or fire service certificates shall be taught by a Fire and Emergency Services Instructor II, appointed by the program director as an Instructor Trainer, under the auspices of an accredited EMS or a chartered fire training program. The program director is responsible for ensuring compliance with all requirements set forth in chapters 4765-7 and 4765-18, or 4765-21 and 4765-24 of the Ohio Administrative Code (O.A.C.).
